Welcome to the New Age of Traditions… they are made right here & now. Here at AR Hunters we take the Modern Sporting Rifle seriously… and we are comfortable saying this is one of the most widest and most versatile platforms on the planet that a Hunter can personalize and rapidly modify to his and her needs, choice in game, and environment.
The AR Platform is one of the most popular and versatile Sporting / Hunting platforms around currently today. It does appear to be pretty uniquely an American concept. The United States of America has been forward thinking enough to see the advantages of utilizing a modern firearms platform to safely and affectively harvest wild game. Where legal to hunt with; add a suppressor and you have one great hunting set up!
“AR-10” and “AR-15″ are trademarks of Colt Manufacturing Company but you will find variants made by plenty of companies worldwide. Here is a sample of why AR Hunters thinks the AR Platform has yet to see its full bloom in the field of game hunting. We know that day is coming and one of the reasons for that is the shear versatility of the AR Platform.
For example… You can get a Youth Hunter their first AR Receiver at a very early age. Maybe you get it for them chambered as a .17HMR or .22LR. As they grow; as they prepare for their first hunt a new upper can then be added to the mix that might be a larger caliber or a legal hunting caliber. Then again as they grow and mature they might want a larger caliber yet or maybe their range and accuracy increase and they want a caliber or chambering that will fit that need. That AR receiver can last a lifetime and provide multiple caliber choices their whole life.
Depending on the Day and the Tag to be filled the AR Platform can handle the job of harvesting a Rabbit, Varminting, or taking a White Tail, an Elk, a Black Bear or maybe a Buffalo. The same receiver can be used the entire time and dedicated caliber swaps can happen in seconds and most definitely in just a few minutes for the Game of choice. AR Hunters hope you enjoy the resources we try to bring you and the community we are building.
AR15 Calibers today can be many different formats. However, the standard Caliber most widely associated to the AR-15 is the 5.56x45mm NATO. This is what most associate the AR-15 to being chambered in when purchased right off the shelf as the Nation’s most popular and most widely sold recreational / sporting rifle. AR Hunters is helping to educate the masses that there are so many more Caliber choices when purchasing an AR. An AR15 can be designed and fitted to fire a .50BMG this round will not feed thru the magazine and these set ups are where the receiver functions only as a trigger group for the upper which generally is a single shot or bolt fed design.

The AR-10, like the AR-15 can be chambered in a number of various Calibers. Most are familiar with the AR-10 being Chambered in the .308 & 7.62×51 NATO format. Just like his little friend the AR-15; the AR-10 has many options available that it too can be chambered in.
- 243 Winchester
- .260 Remington
- 6.5 Creedmoor
- 7mm-08 Remington
- .308 Winchester – interchangeable with the 7.62×51 NATO per SAAMI

- NEMO is chambered in the .338 Laupa, SI Defense has a .300 Win Mag, and Alexander Arms has a .50BMG AR Upper in production as well but those are in their own category of platforms we feel due to the inability to swap out between other calibers and other modifications.
